Careers at Rubin Therapy

A Group Practice Built With Clinicians in Mind

If you’ve worked in group practices before, you may already know what hasn’t worked.

High caseloads. Rigid schedules. Minimal support. Policies that prioritize volume over quality. At Rubin Therapy, we’ve intentionally built something different.

We are a clinician-centered practice that puts people first. That includes the clients we serve and the clinicians who do the work. Our goal is to create an environment where therapists can build meaningful, sustainable careers, not just get through the week.

How we support our clinicians

Rubin Therapy is thoughtful about how we structure the practice, from scheduling to compensation to clinical support.

Flexible scheduling with support from our leadership team

No required weekend hours

Evening availability welcomed, not required

Sustainable caseloads that prioritize quality of care

Thoughtful client matching based on clinical fit

Administrative and billing support handled for you

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Therapists who care about the work, not just the caseload

We hire on a rolling basis and encourage practitioners of all backgrounds and identities to apply. You might be a fit if:

  • You're licensed or license-eligible in New York or New Jersey (LMSW, LCSW, LSW, LAC, or equivalent)
  • You have experience with adult individuals and/or couples therapy
  • You work relationally, with curiosity about what's underneath the symptom
  • You're culturally responsive and bring genuine respect for every identity that walks in
  • You want to grow clinically, with consultation and a team that talks to each other
  • You're motivated and empathetic, and you take the craft of therapy seriously

You don't need to check every box. If the way we work resonates with you, we'd like to hear from you.

Small enough to know you. Growing enough to grow with you.

Rubin Therapy is a boutique group practice that prioritizes community, both with the clients we serve and within the team. You won't be a number on a spreadsheet here, and neither will your clients.

THE CULTURE

Colleagues, not just coworkers

Group practice can be isolating: back-to-back sessions, no one to think out loud with, an inbox instead of a team. We've built the opposite. Consultation, peer support, and leadership that actually responds are part of the structure here, not perks.

The goal is simple: when clinicians are supported, clients get better care. Everything about how we run the practice follows from that.

How to apply

No portals, no cover letter formulas. Apply by reaching out directly to our founder, Emily Rubin, LCSW-R.

INCLUDE THREE THINGS

  • A brief introduction of who you are
  • A little about your career journey so far
  • What interests you about working with Rubin Therapy

That's it. We read everything that comes in, and because we hire on a rolling basis, there's no deadline to beat. If the timing isn't right when you reach out, we'll keep your note in mind as we grow.
